Speaking to the Daily Record, Schmedes explained, “We will consider any offers that come in, but at this stage, we’re not saying goodbye just yet. Once the season is officially over, we’ll sit down, review our options, and see what the transfer window brings. That goes for Mathias and for other players too. It’s no surprise he was named player of the year, and there’s significant interest in him from clubs in the top five leagues. When those clubs call, I’ll pick up the phone and listen.”
Kvistgaarden himself has not hidden his ambitions. Speaking after the match, he made it clear he is ready to move on. “I think I’m ready. I’ve made my mark at Brondby and in the Superliga, so I’m ready to take the next step. I don’t see myself staying with Brondby next season,” he said.
For Celtic, the news comes as a blow. Manager Brendan Rodgers has already confirmed plans to strengthen the squad during the summer transfer window, particularly after the disappointment of losing the Scottish Cup final to Aberdeen.
