Celtic star Jota spotted dining at top Glasgow restaurant loved by football players
A west end restaurant hugely popular with Glasgow’s footballing fraternity has shared an image of its latest famous star to visit over the weekend.
La Laterna West End on Great Western Road is known for playing host to a string of former stars, club legends, current footballers and managers.
It’s latest visit was from Celtic winger Jota, 26, who returned to Parkhead in January after leaving the club in a mega money deal to Saudi Arabia, with the star happily posing with staff.
The La Laterna team posted: “What an amazing weekend at La Lanterna West End!
“We had the pleasure of hosting João Pedro Neves Filipe, known as Jota, the talented winger from Celtic!
Your visit brought such excitement and energy to our restaurant. Thank you for joining us, and we hope to see you back soon for more delicious moments and see you back on the field soon.”
Jota, who shared a new shorter hair look in the pic, is currently on the sidelines and is due to return to the team in February at the earliest.
Govan-born legend Sir Alex Ferguson, widely regarded as one of the greatest football managers of all time, was pictured smiling with staff at the Great Western Road as he enjoyed a meal in August.
While, Danish Old Firm rivals in Ibrox legend Peter Løvenkrands and current Celtic star Kasper Schmeichel were also both pictured there in the summer.
Celtic star Jota was recently spotted dining at Caprese Don Costanzo, a popular Italian eatery in Glasgow’s West End, alongside teammate Boli Bolingoli. The footballers enjoyed a night out at the restaurant, which has gained recognition for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. Caprese Don Costanzo’s Facebook page featured a photo of the duo, captioning it “Great week having our Nonno Constanzo back in action doing what he does best” ¹.
