Danny Rohl speaks out on Rangers exits as another player on verge of move

Danny Rohl will be happy at the ambition that has been shown in Rangers’ January business so far.

Andrew Cavenagh has sanctioned multiple Ibrox arrivals this window to try and aid the Gers boss in a push for the Scottish Premiership title.

Momentum is building in Glasgow, and Rangers’ 1-0 Europa League win over Ludogorets Razgrad on Thursday has added to the feel-good factor.

The Bears have brought in the likes of Andreas Skov Olsen, Tochi Chukwuani and Tuur Rommens, who will all have a significant part to play from now until the end of the season.

However, Rohl will understand that he also needs to wave goodbye to a few stars, with that looking to be the case very soon.

Kieran Dowell’s Rangers exit to be confirmed on Friday

There could yet be another big signing for Rangers, as there have been suggested that one more addition could put the cherry on the icing on the cake for what has been a proactive window.

But space will need to be freed up in Rohl’s squad, as Kieran Dowell‘s proposed move to Hull City is close to completion.

According to Sky Sports, Dowell’s move to Hull should be confirmed by Friday evening, with the winger already having travelled to East Yorkshire for a medical.

There have been no reports to suggest any late hitches in the medical, as the Gers are set to receive an undisclosed fee.

But the Englishman isn’t the only forward who has been tipped for an Ibrox exit this month, with Findlay Curtis‘ future hanging in the balance.

After the Bears’ win over Ludogorets Razgrad, Rohl was speaking to the press about Dowell’s exit and touched on Curtis’s possible exit from Rangers.

Rohl said: “I think for Findlay, it’s also about development in the next months. We have to make sure that he gets a lot of game time. At the moment, he’s our player – let’s see what we’ll do.

“I think Kieran is nearly done with Hull, and then maybe some players will follow this way out. If the squad is too big, then it’s not healthy for the group.”

Rangers have reportedly agreed a deal with Kilmarnock to send Curtis to Rugby Park for the rest of the season to gain valuable first-team minutes.

Neil McCann is keen to wrap up the loan move, and everyone from a Rangers perspective will be hoping that the young forward can go and smash it before returning to Ibrox later this year.
