Fuming Vaclav Cerny explodes after Celtic sub as he attacks Rangers dugout amid fizzing Barry Ferguson reaction
Raging Vaclav Cerny hit out at the Rangers dugout after being hauled off by Barry Ferguson during the clash with Celtic.
The derby showdown was finely poised in the second half when interim boss Ferguson made the call in the second half – with the score level after Adam Idah cancelled out Cyriel Dessers’ strike at Ibrox.
But with the Premiership champions ramping up the pressure on Rangers, the decision was made to take off Cerny and Nedim Bajrami for Hamza Igamane and Ianis Hagi.
The Czech winger was clearly unhappy as he stormed off the pitch and past Ferguson.
He was then seen hitting the dugout as the Wolfsburg loanee sat away from his teammates on the home bench.
Cerny would then erupt as he elbowed the dugout in fury before substitute goalkeeper Jack Butland moved to console the irked attacker.
Former Rangers hero Scott Arfield said to Sky Sports: “He’s not happy coming off. I’m surprised at that as well, he’s possessed a real threat going forward. It’s a big call.”
Celtic fan favourite Chris Sutton: “Clearly frustrated – a player most Rangers fans would want to keep next season.”
