A famous Celtic pub in Glasgow has set the tone for Trophy weekend by unfurling a massive eight-word banner outside its entrance.
The Brazen Head, on the city’s Catchcart Road, unveiled the huge display on Thursday to celebrate the Hoops’ latest title success.
Posting the image on Facebook, it reads: “Congratulations to the most successful team in Scotland.”
It comes on the weekend when Brendan Rodgers’ men will be presented with a record-equalling 55th top-flight crown.
The four-in-a-row champions host St Mirren at Parkhead on trophy day and a sell-out crowd will see Celts lift the league trophy.
Thousands are then expected to descend on Glasgow city centre’s Merchant City and Trongate areas for booze-fuelled celebrations.
Celtic recently overtook bitter rivals Rangers as the most decorated club in Scotland with a dramatic League Cup Final penalty shootout win at Hampden in December.
The Hoops then moved two clear of Rangers’ 118 major honours when they clinched the title at Tannadice at the end of last month.
Now, Rodgers’ men have set their sights on a world record-extending ninth domestic Treble as they take on Aberdeen in next week’s Scottish Cup Final.
Ultras groups the Green Brigade and Bhoys Celtic have already organised a pre-match march to the national stadium from Glasgow Green, where diehards will pass the Brazen Head as they make their way towards Mount Florida.
