“Celtic Fans to Celebrate: Newcastle Alexander Isak’s Comments About Wolves Player Who Snubbed Celtic”
Celtic fans will love what Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak has just said about Benjamin Nygren
Celtic are making moves early in the summer transfer window.
The Hoops have already signed Kieran Tierney on a five-year contract after the left-back’s contract with Arsenal expired.
And now they look set to sign FC Nordsjælland winger Benjamin Nygren for just £1.7m due to the Swedish star’s contract expiring in six months.
Nygren has confirmed he will leave FC Nordsjælland having scored 16 goals in 32 games for the club across all competitions last season.
He scored in Sweden’s 2-0 friendly win over Hungary at the start of this month and quotes have now emerged from his international teammate Alexander Isak.
Isak hails ‘fearless’ Celtic-bound Nygren
Isak is one of the best strikers in the Premier League for Newcastle United and netted 27 goals in 42 games for the club last campaign.
So when Isak talks up Celtic target Nygren, it’s bound to mean something.
As per the Daily Record, Isak said: “It was very good to play with Benjamin. I really enjoyed it. It’s clear he is a fearless player who has a lot of confidence.
“Playing with a winger like that who is able to provide good crosses can only be beneficial for someone like me.
“I think he did incredibly well in the two games (against Hungary and Algeria) and it was a nice boost for him that he was also able to score his goal too.”
Celtic and FC Nordsjælland ‘agree’ Nygren terms
On Friday evening, Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph delivered some fantastic news for the Celtic fans.
He stated that Celtic and FC Nordsjælland had come to an agreement over the transfer of the 23-year-old Nygren.
It’s now up to both clubs to decide on a fee, which should be around £1.7m as previously mentioned.
Celtic are acting fast because a number of other European clubs are said to be interested in signing Nygren from the Danish side.
