According to German outlet Bild, United’s interest is serious and ongoing. However, the situation may change if Liverpool move Darwin Núñez to Napoli, which could free up their pursuit of Ekitike.

The club has reportedly beaten off strong competition from across Europe to land 16-year-old defensive prodigy Jayden Ngwashi. According to the Manchester Evening News, the talented centre-back is expected to sign a scholarship deal this week, officially committing his future to United.
Ngwashi made his under-18 debut for the Red Devils in March and quickly earned a promotion to the under-21 side due to his composed performances and ball-playing abilities. He also represents England at youth level and is widely regarded as one of the most promising defenders in his age group.
