Leeds United twice came from behind to earn a 3-3 draw against Liverpool on Saturday night, in a frantic second half that saw six goals scored. Hugo Ekitiké grabbed a quickfire brace just after half-time to put Liverpool 2-0 ahead, but Leeds hit back through a Dominic Calvert-Lewin penalty and an Anton Stach strike.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin ultimately stepped up to take the spot kick, powering it with pace into the right-hand side of the net to eat into Liverpool’s lead, which was built by a Hugo Ekitike brace early into the second-half
The drama of the game wasn’t finished there, however, with Anton Stach cutting in from the left moments later, wrong-footing Alisson in the process and powering it past the seasoned Brazilian shot-stopper to square the match.
Jubilation for Leeds fans then quickly turned to jealousy at Elland Road in the 80th minute, with Ryan Gravenberch finding Dominik Szoboszlai breaking through the middle on a counter-attack
From there, the Hungarian midfielder to slotted it home past Lucas Perri before wheeling off in celebration to take the score to 3-2 in the visitors’ favour. It was an anxious state of affairs when the assistant referee revealed that nine minutes of additional time was to be played as a result of stoppages
And the air turned frosty for Liverpool supporters once more after six of the added minutes were played, when Ao Tanaka volleyed the ball into the ground from close range and past Alisson to level matters once more.
As a result of the draw, Liverpool now sit eighth in the Premier League standings with seven wins, two draws and six losses to show for their efforts.
