Agents ‘Have A Whiff Of Something’ – Boss’ Admission On Wolves And Brentford Target

Agents ‘have a whiff of something’, Nurnberg coach Miroslav Klose believes, when it comes to Brentford and Wolves linked midfielder Casper Jander and his future this summer.

Jander was a bright spot for Nurnberg in the recent season, where Der Club finished tenth in the 2. Bundesliga table and never threatened to challenge for promotion.

The 22-year-old is now valued at the €5m mark and a number of clubs are showing interest in taking him away from Nurnberg in time for next season.

Wolves registered an interest in the midfielder at the end of March, while fellow Premier League side Brentford are also keen.

Bundesliga pair Stuttgart and Hoffenheim are admirers, with Belgian giants Club Brugge another potential destination.

Nurnberg boss Klose though is clear in his view that staying at the club for another season would be the smart thing for Jander to do.

He sees further development in front of the midfielder and gave an indication that it is agents who are looking to move the player, rather than the player himself.

Jander is currently part of the Germany squad at the European Under-21 Championship taking place in Slovakia until 28th June.

That could well mean Klose is safe from having to deal with approaches for Jander until after the tournament and the Nurnberg boss will hope they do not materialise.

At suitors Brentford, Thomas Frank has just left for the Tottenham Hotspur job, which could slow down their work in the transfer market.

Wolves meanwhile have just suffered two big losses in Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri departing.
