The incidents came amid the title party which kicked off on Saturday afternoon after Callum McGregor lifted the Scottish Premiership trophy at Celtic Park.

The fight took place as thousands of fans flooded to the Trongate on Saturday May 17 to celebrate becoming league champions despite calls from the club to stay away from the area.

Footage captured from the celebrations shows a crowd sporting green tops, with several others topless, all gathered before three men start throwing punches at each other.

In shocking clips circulating on social media a large group of fans can be seen kicking others before chasing them and punching a boy who appears to stagger backwards into the road.

Another clip shows a person crouched someone else, laying into them with punches. No police can be seen in either clips and it is unknown if either incident has been reported.

The brawl came amid the title party which kicked off on Saturday afternoon after Callum McGregor lifted the Scottish Premiership trophy at Celtic Park.

Roads were closed and bus shelters taken down in preparation for the huge event which often leaves the city centre strewn with rubbish.

Some fans were even seen scaling traffic lights and the famous Mercat Cross, as well as Merchant City signs in the area.

Dozens of people were pictured holding green flares as Hoops fans celebrated their side lifting a fourth successive league trophy in a row.

A spokesperson from Glasgow City Council previously said: “A large gathering of football fans has congregated at Glasgow Cross, several roads have been closed around this area.

“Road users are advised to avoid this area until further notice and follow Police direction.”
