Kris Boyd has unleashed his scathing assessment of Patrick Stewart’s short-lived Rangers reign.
Rangers announced the dismissals of Stewart and Kevin Thelwell on Monday after months of intense scrutiny and fan rage.
Stewart was appointed as Rangers‘ chief executive officer in November 2024 and has overseen four different managers in that time.

Stewart had always been insistent that he had what it takes to build a successful football club from top to bottom, but it’s clear that he was out of his depth.
Speaking on The Warm-Up podcast on 24 November, Boyd shared what he had been told about Stewart’s disappointing spell in Govan, and believes staff members grew unhappy over recent months.
He said: “Have you ever seen such a bad transfer window? I don’t see one player who is better than what they had last season.
“From what I’ve heard, not a lot of people were enjoying the working environment behind the scenes under Stewart.
“A lot of people want out, and that can’t be a good environment to work in.”
