The Hoops put in a second gear performance against St Mirren in the final league match of the season as they drew 1-1 thanks to James Forrest’s dramatic equaliser.

Forrest scored in his 16th consecutive season for the Bhoys in what was a fairytale ending to the match despite only picking up a point.

Celtic also picked up a point not too long ago against Rangers at Ibrox and fans will remember the 2,000 Hoops supporters inside the stadium were in celebratory mood.

They trolled Rangers by singing their walk-out anthem ‘The Best’ by Tina Turner as the two teams emerged onto the pitch.

And now, Celtic have revisited that banter on social media platform X with a tremendous piece of trolling.

At around quarter to 3 in the afternoon, Celtic posted a hilarious video which showed the social media admin deciding what to type on X in the aftermath of the trophy presentation.

They started with writing “World’s Most Successful…” but erased it and tried something else.

That something else was “Simply the best” and as the words were being typed up, a snippet of the song can be heard, before that too is erased.

Eventually, the club settled on the caption “Just another day in Paradise” with green clover and trophy emojis.

On talkSPORT after Celtic drew 1-1 with Rangers at the start of May, Ally McCoist delivered his thoughts on the troll by Celtic fans.

Host Shebahn Aherne asked him live on talkSPORT: “You are the voice of Rangers, that’s absolutely fair to say. Absolute legend of the club.

“You speak for and represent many fans. The players come out the tunnel, they’re walking out to ‘The Best’, and the 2,000 Celtic fans are almost singing louder than the Rangers fans.

“Because they’re not really simply the best over the last few seasons, are they Ally?”

Instead of taking the huff, in fairness to McCoist, he saw the funny side and responded: “I think it’s brilliant, I think it’s hilarious.

“I don’t have a problem with it at all, I thought it was an absolutely brilliant wind-up.”
