Despite strong progress behind the scenes, the final stages of the transfer have hit a slight timing delay.

Work has already been done between Rangers and Wolfsburg to reach an agreement on a loan move for the Danish winger during the January transfer window. However, while Thursday had been widely mentioned as the expected day for the medical, Glud suggested that the tests may instead be carried out on Friday. This minor shift has introduced a short delay to the announcement, even though the overall direction of the transfer remains unchanged.

From a contractual standpoint, Rangers and Wolfsburg have already ironed out key details. The loan fee and the framework for a possible future buy option are understood to have been agreed, meaning the medical is one of the final formalities required before the deal can be officially signed off.

Rangers remain relaxed over fitness concerns

Despite some disappointment among supporters eager to see Skov Olsen unveiled immediately, there is no sense of panic within the Rangers camp. The club are confident that the winger will come through his medical checks without any issues, regardless of whether they take place on Thursday or Friday.
