Manchester United are edging closer to securing the signature of Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha, as new manager Ruben Amorim begins reshaping his squad ahead of the summer transfer window.
United are expected to activate the Brazilian international’s £62.5 million release clause, with talks over personal terms now progressing well. Sources indicate that the club is optimistic about wrapping up the deal by next month, taking advantage of remaining headroom under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Cunha, 25, has been a standout performer for Wolves, and his versatility in the front line has attracted strong interest from Newcastle United as well.
