Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic has reportedly sparked a huge online reaction following his post-match comments after Hull City’s 2–1 defeat to Newcastle United, with a clip from his interview rapidly circulating and drawing intense debate among supporters.
The Hull manager was reportedly far from satisfied with what he witnessed during the Premier League encounter and appeared particularly frustrated by what he perceived as inconsistent treatment from the officials throughout the match.
Asked for his honest assessment of the game during his post-match interview, Jakirovic reportedly highlighted two major issues that he believed deserved serious attention.
His first complaint centred on the officiating.
According to the comments attributed to the Hull boss, Jakirovic questioned why Newcastle players were allegedly allowed to get away with certain challenges and incidents while his own players were treated much more strictly by the officials.

But Jakirovic reportedly had another major complaint — and this time, it concerned an incident involving Newcastle’s coaching staff and Hull striker Oli McBurnie.
The Hull boss reportedly claimed that he had an altercation with members of the Newcastle coaching staff after one of them allegedly mocked and provoked McBurnie during the match, calling the striker a “woman” for repeatedly going down following contact with Newcastle players.
Jakirovic viewed the incident as unacceptable and argued that provoking or verbally abusing an opposition player should not simply be overlooked, particularly when the same level of scrutiny is not allegedly applied to everyone involved.
