Rangers fans have reached breaking point after what many are calling one of the most painful collapses in recent Scottish Premiership history  and even rival Celtic supporters have joined the conversation as the fallout continues to dominate Scottish football.

Just weeks ago, optimism was flooding through Ibrox.

Under Danny Röhl, Rangers had dragged themselves back into an unlikely title race and looked capable of putting serious pressure on Celtic F.C. and surprise title challengers Heart of Midlothian F.C..

At one stage, Rangers were just one point off the top and many supporters believed title number 56 was within touching distance.

The biggest reason appears to be Rangers’ late-season collapse in the title race after fans believed the league was theirs to win.

And fans are furious over one major reason  they believe Rangers completely crumbled when the pressure became real.

The warning signs first appeared during Rangers’ damaging 3-2 defeat against Motherwell F.C. at Ibrox a result many supporters now view as the moment their title dream began to die.

BBC Sport described the defeat as “utterly deflating,” with one Rangers supporter admitting the result caused “psychological damage” to the squad after they threw away another huge opportunity in the title race. 

That loss handed momentum back to their rivals.

And things somehow got even worse.

Days later, Rangers travelled to Tynecastle knowing victory against Heart of Midlothian F.C. would keep their title hopes alive.

Instead, they collapsed again.

Despite leading at halftime, Rangers threw away their advantage and lost 2-1.

Fans online were essentially saying:

“We handed Celtic F.C. the title.”

“Never let this club collapse under pressure again.”

“Fix recruitment this summer.”

“We need players who understand what playing for Rangers means.”

Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd did not hold back after the defeat.

For many Rangers fans, this season feels even worse because of how close they were.

In fact, Celtic’s own struggles gave Rangers multiple opportunities to take control of the title race.

Instead, Rangers stumbled repeatedly.

Dropped points.

Defensive mistakes.

Poor finishing.

And major losses at exactly the wrong moments.

That has left rival Celtic fans enjoying every second of Rangers’ meltdown.

Across social media, many Celtic supporters mocked Rangers for failing to capitalize.

Even neutral fans have described Scotland’s title race as one of the most dramatic in Europe this season, with The Guardian highlighting how unexpected contenders like Heart of Midlothian F.C. turned the traditional Old Firm battle into complete chaos. 

Now Rangers face an enormous summer.

Questions are growing over the future of Danny Röhl despite some pundits urging patience.

Former Rangers captain Barry Ferguson recently backed the manager to stay, while former boss Steven Gerrard has even been linked with a sensational return. 

But supporters want more than managerial debates.

They want answers.

And most importantly they want this cycle to end.

For Rangers fans, the message is simple:

Never allow another title race collapse like this again.

For Celtic fans?

They are loving every minute of watching their rivals suffer.
