In a stunning analytical projection ahead of this weekend’s Premier League showdown, a high-powered supercomputer has predicted Wolverhampton Wanderers to edge Crystal Palace in their upcoming clash at Selhurst Park. After 10,000 simulations, Wolves emerged as the more consistent winner, suggesting the visitors could pull off a crucial victory away from home.
The simulations, run by a leading sports analytics team, analyzed data across various metrics: player performance, injury updates, tactical setups, home and away form, and head-to-head history. After crunching the numbers, the model predicted a Wolves win in 38.9% of simulations, compared to 34.7% for Palace, with the remaining 26.4% ending in draws.
The simulations identified manager Vítor Pereira’s system as a major factor behind Wolves’ predicted edge. Since taking over, Pereira has instilled a more compact and tactically flexible approach. His side transitions quickly from defense to attack and has become increasingly efficient in creating chances from limited possession a perfect formula for success in tough away fixtures.

Palace Vulnerabilities Exposed
While Crystal Palace have traditionally been strong at home, the supercomputer highlighted concerning trends under pressure. In simulations where they conceded early, Palace struggled to respond effectively, with a win rate of just 12% in games where they trailed first.
The model also flagged a reliance on Eberechi Eze, and the potential absence or off-form performance from him significantly reduced Palace’s attacking output. Additionally, Palace’s defensive wide areas, particularly when facing pace and overlapping fullbacks, were exploited in many Wolves wins.
